In partnership with the International Leadership Institute, History Makers has a vision to change the course of history by accelerating the spread of the Gospel on earth, through leaders of leaders, animated by the Holy Spirit.
The mission of the History Makers movement is to train leaders of leaders and motivate them to proclaim the Gospel to their nations.
History Makers focuses on 8 essential biblical values that we believe God wants to see in every Christian leader. The 8 core values are the foundation of the entire leadership training and equipping program.
God is looking for consecrated men and women who lead from a deep relationship with God.
God is looking for men and women who share a passion for those without Christ. Jesus came to "seek and save the lost". God wants everyone to be touched with the transforming power of the gospel.
God is looking for visionary men and women who are committed to setting goals, mobilizing the Body of Christ, and overcoming obstacles to reach the peoples for Christ.
God is looking for men and women who live and teach the gospel with cultural relevance, sensitivity, and power so that the eternal truth of the gospel is understood and received in every culture of the world.
God is looking for men and women who disciple, train and mentor other leaders, who in turn become leaders of leaders who effectively train others.
God is looking for men and women who are convinced that the family is the building block of society and who make their family a priority in developing leaders.
God is looking for men and women who are faithful stewards of finances, time, and spiritual gifts in their personal lives and leadership, with the result that people are touched by the gospel.
God is looking for men and women of integrity who live holy lives and who are accountable to God and the Body of Christ. Integrity glorifies God, protects leaders from falling, and encourages growth.
When 26 people come together with the desire to seek God and discover the meaning of life, it cannot be just another event. It becomes an experience. And that’s exactly what happened this time: days filled with emotion, honest questions, unexpected discoveries, and hearts open to a vision greater than their own limits.
From the very first sessions, the participants were challenged to look beyond the present and imagine the future as God sees it for them. Step by step, they learned how to turn that vision into a concrete plan, writing down clear and practical objectives. The atmosphere in the workshops was one of support and collaboration—every idea, every testimony, every step was met with encouragement.
Visions that Inspire
Among the many reflections and testimonies, a few stood out and remained in everyone’s hearts.
Andrei, a young firefighter, wrote a vision that was simple yet powerful: “To save lives and souls!” In his eyes you could see the seriousness of this calling—his job was not just work, but a mission through which God was calling him to be a light.
Rebeca, a teenager, remembered the children she had served at a summer camp. She admitted that although she doesn’t have many material things, she still has more than many of them. Her vision was born out of compassion: “I will definitely work with them, bringing light to those who don’t have as much.”
Denisa, on the very first morning, wrote in her journal all the unspoken questions she carried in her heart for God. To her amazement, the very first two sessions brought direct answers. Her tears of gratitude said more than words: God listens and responds when you sincerely seek Him.
More than We Expected
As the days went by, the atmosphere transformed into a true spiritual family. The participants not only shaped their visions and objectives, but also shared their stories, vulnerabilities, and hopes. They encouraged each other and discovered that when steps are taken with God and alongside trustworthy people, dreams no longer seem impossible.
This gathering was more than just a workshop. It was a time when God lit up souls, raised questions, brought answers, wove friendships, and gave courage for the future.
Each of the 26 left with something that cannot be measured on paper: a transformed heart and a clear vision, meant to change not only their own lives but also the lives of those around them.
The History Makers experience in Făgăraș was not only transformative but also academically rigorous, with intensive studies focused on the eight core values. Each of these values was explored in depth, through detailed sessions that challenged us to understand their significance and how to apply them in both personal and leadership contexts.
In addition to these in-depth studies, we had the opportunity to connect with nature through a mountain hike, which offered a powerful way to reflect on what we had learned. The hike was not just a physical challenge but also a metaphor for perseverance and determination, two of the values we had been studying. The natural setting added a new layer to the experience, allowing us to internalize the lessons in a serene and inspiring environment.
Learning outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of the Făgăraș mountains, provided a refreshing contrast to traditional classroom learning. It was a privilege to study these values in such a context, where nature itself seemed to reinforce the teachings of integrity, respect, and humility. This combination of intense study, physical challenge, and learning in nature made the History Makers experience not only impactful but unforgettable.
