Deo Impact youth meetings are an essential part of the Church's life and work with young people. These meetings provide a conducive environment for them to develop their personal relationship with God, grow spiritually and strengthen their faith community.
Youth meetings are often centered around learning and studying the Bible. Young people have the opportunity to explore and understand the teachings of Scripture and discover how to apply Christian principles in their daily lives.
Young people are encouraged to share testimonies and personal experiences about how God works in their lives. These testimonies can be a source of inspiration and encouragement to others and can strengthen the community of faith.
In addition to spiritual aspects, youth meetings can also include social and recreational activities such as games, field trips, camps, or theme nights. These activities help strengthen relationships between young people and build a strong community around Christian values.
Youth meetings provide a safe and friendly space where young people can share their questions, concerns and spiritual experiences. These discussions can bring clarification, encouragement and guidance in their spiritual journey.
Youth meetings also provide opportunities for service and community involvement. Young people are encouraged to participate in community service projects, get involved in missions and be witnesses of their faith in the world.
Young people are encouraged to bring their requests and concerns before God in personal prayer and to pray for one another. Moments of collective prayer can also be organized, where young people pray together for the needs of their community, for the church and for the world.
Young people have the opportunity to share testimonies and spiritual experiences that will encourage and strengthen them in their faith. These moments of sharing can be a source of inspiration and encouragement to others and can strengthen the bonds between members of the youth community.
SUMMER CAMPS
The Gospel of John is unique among the four Gospels in its focus on the divinity of Jesus, revealing His identity as the Son of God, becoming the "Original". Throughout this Gospel, we find seven powerful "I Am" statements made by Jesus that not only declare His originality, but provide essential truths about who He is and what He came to accomplish. In this camp we tried to understand the meaning and significance of these statements, to embrace the love of God surrounded by nature, friends and many activities.
Some moments from the camp that just ended. We're sad it's over but thankful for seeing God's hand in everything.
We were very excited about the topic of discussion that year. These discussions concern the great metanarrative of Scripture: God's plan of salvation. We started by discussing the idea that we all have something we build our lives on and how Jesus is the best foundation stone.
We talked about how God created humans with value and purpose, but we chose to go our own way. But even as God details the consequences of the fall in Genesis 3, he points to Jesus who will come to redeem all things for Himself. As the week went on, we looked at Jesus and how He came to be Savior and King and how we can live in light of that reality, building our lives on Him and being part of His body.
God commands Jonah to prophesy in the city of Nineveh. Unwilling to go, Jonah tries to avoid God's command by going to Joppa and then going to Tarshish. The storm begins at sea. The sailors quickly discover that the storm is no ordinary storm and is caused by Jonah's disobedience to God. Jonah admits this and says that the storm will end when the sailors throw him overboard. The sailors try to take the ship to shore but, unable, feel compelled to throw Jonah away. When Jonah is in the water, the sea calms. Jonah is swallowed by a large fish.
